AMETEK Names Robert S. Feit as Senior Vice President & General Counsel.

PAOLI, Pa. -- AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE:AME) announced that it has named Robert S. Feit as Senior Vice President & General Counsel. Mr. Feit joins AMETEK in this newly created role to support the Company's growth plans. Mr. Feit joins AMETEK from Oracle Corporation where he was Vice President, Legal, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary.

Mr. Feit began his career at the law firm of Shearman & Sterling where, from 1987 to 1994, he was an associate in their Corporate Finance practice in New York and London. In 1995 he joined AT&T Corp. as an Attorney. He held increasingly responsible legal positions there before being named Vice President, Law and Corporate Secretary in 2002. In 2003 he added the responsibilities of Chief Compliance Officer. In 2006, Mr. Feit joined Oracle Corporation.

Mr. Feit holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is admitted to practice before the Bar of the State of New York.
