AMETEK Names Ramesh Nuggihalli Vice President, Corporate Development.PAOLI, Pa. -- AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :AME See AIT. ) today announced that Ramesh Nuggihalli has joined the Company as Vice President, Corporate Development. In his new position, he will be responsible for the advancement of AMETEK's corporate development initiatives by identifying potential acquisition candidates and evaluating new strategic growth opportunities. Mr. Nuggihalli joins the Corporate Development team led by William Eginton, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. "We're pleased to have Ramesh join AMETEK. He has extensive merger and acquisition experience as well as an impressive record of other corporate development initiatives in more than 15 countries. Prior to joining AMETEK, Mr. Nuggihalli served from 1999 in strategic marketing and business development leadership roles for GE Energy, an $18 billion division of General Electric. In those roles, he managed acquisitions and divestitures ranging in size from $25 million to $300 million in annual revenues and developed new growth strategies for its energy and industrial sectors. Prior to joining GE, he held positions with the Babcock and Wilcox unit of McDermott International and at Kilborn, Inc., a division of Canadian-based SNC-Lavalin.
