AMETEK Names Peter De Jong Vice President--Operations, Electromechanical Group, Reynosa.PAOLI, Pa. -- AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :AME See AIT. ) today announced the appointment of Peter de Jong as Vice President - Operations, Electromechanical Group, Reynosa. In this role, Mr. de Jong is responsible for the manufacturing operations of our Electromechanical Group in Reynosa, Mexico. These include our Household Floorcare, Specialty Motors, Commercial Motors and Technical and Industrial Products businesses. "I am pleased to announce Peter's promotion to Vice President. Prior to joining AMETEK, Mr. de Jong spent 22 years with AMP Incorporated and Tyco Electronics in a variety of increasingly responsible managerial positions in general management, operations, engineering and new product development, and product management. Most recently he served as the Senior Director, Technology, Engineering Excellence in the Tyco Electronics Corporate office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In that capacity he was responsible for improving the engineering effectiveness of more than 50 new product development teams around the world. Mr. de Jong also has had extensive international experience with Tyco, serving as the Regional Director, Fiber Optics Business Unit in Hong Kong and Shanghai; the Director of Operations and Business Development in Bangalore, India; and as the Product Engineering and Development Manager in the Republic of Singapore Noun 1.
