AMETEK Names Charles Lohwasser Vice President and General Manager.PAOLI, Pa. -- AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :AME See AIT. ) today announced the appointment of Charles E. Lohwasser as Vice President and General Manager, Thermal Management Systems within AMETEK Aerospace & Defense. "I am pleased to announce Charlie's promotion to Vice President and General Manager. He has extensive experience and knowledge of our aerospace businesses and brings to his new position a strong operational background, excellent strategic skills and outstanding leadership capabilities. Charlie has been instrumental in the growth of our Aerospace and Defense business, and we expect him to play a key role in its continued success," commented Frank S. Hermance, AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lohwasser has been part of AMETEK since 1998, when it acquired the Rotron business unit from EG&G, Inc. Mr. Lohwasser joined EG&G in 1979 and held increasingly responsible positions in Finance before being named Business Element Manager in 1996. Following AMETEK's acquisition of Rotron in 1998, Mr. Lohwasser served as Division Vice President and Business Unit Manager. In 2005, he added responsibility for AMETEK's Airtechnology business.
