AMETEK Elects Two New Corporate Officers.

PAOLI, Pa. -- AMETEK Inc. (NYSE:AME) today announced that the Board of Directors has elected Richard Ferraid as Vice President and General Manager of AMETEK HCC Industries and Richard A. Madamba as Vice President and General Manager of Thermal Management Systems within AMETEK Aerospace & Defense.

Richard Ferraid comes to AMETEK as part of our acquisition on October 7, 2005 of HCC Industries, a leading manufacturer of highly engineered hermetically sealed connectors, terminals, headers and microelectronic packages.

Mr. Ferraid had been President and Chief Executive Officer of HCC Industries since 2000. Prior to that, he served as President of HCC Glasseal since 1994 and Vice President of Marketing from 1992. He previously was Vice President of Marketing for the Electrical Industries Division of Philips Electronics.

Mr. Ferraid holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Marketing from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

Richard Madamba joins AMETEK after more than 20 years with United Technologies. Most recently, he served as General Manager of the Global Compressor Business of Carrier Corporation. Mr. Madamba also held positions with Hamilton Sundstrand, a United Technologies company, including Chief Project Engineering Manager and Business Program Manager.

In his newly created position, Mr. Madamba is responsible for AMETEK's Rotron Military & Aerospace Products, Hughes Treitler and Airtechnology Group businesses.

Mr. Madamba holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master's of Business Administration from Western New England College.
