 AMERITECH HOSTS SUPERCOMM '92 -- JUNE 15-18
 WHAT: Chicago-based Ameritech is the host company for SUPERCOMM
 '92, the world's largest annual exhibition of
 telecommunications technology. Co-sponsored by the United
 States Telephone Association (USTA), the Telecommunications
 Industry Association (TIA), The Institute of Electrical and
 Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the IEEE Communications
 Society. Four-day event includes technology displays and
 seminars.
 AMERITECH SUPERSCHOOL is an on-site, 10,000-square-foot
 centerpiece display created by Ameritech, more than 70
 communications and computer hardware and software firms and
 a dozen educational institutions. The display recreates
 an electronic "school" with more than 30 working
 advanced applications of communications technology being
 used by schools and educators in five Midwest states.
 Among the applications in SUPERSCHOOL are actual distance
 learning classes with various U.S. sites and Montreal World
 Trade Center; a user-controlled thunderstorm simulation on a
 supercomputer, a visualization experiment that creates a
 four-dimensional image of a dog's heart via computer and an
 electronic mega-library.
 WHEN: Monday, June 15-Thursday, June 18
 Seminars begin 8 a.m. Monday, June 15. Awards luncheon at 12:15 p.m. with keynote address by William L. Weiss, chairman and CEO of Ameritech. Exhibits open to participants from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17. Event concludes Thursday, June 18,at 3 p.m.
 A special media preview of SuperSchool will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15 (display open daily to show participants beginning Tuesday morning). During this advance, media-only session of SuperSchool, all demonstrations will be operating and subject matter experts and students will be available for interviews and on-site videography or photos (B-ROLL WILL BE AVAILABLE ON TUESDAY). After 9 a.m. on Tuesday, display will be visited by more than 7,000 people each day.
