AMERIGROUP Names Beverly Enterprises Executive to Chief Financial Officer Post.

AMERIGROUP Corporation announced today that it has named Scott M. Tabakin as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the company.

Tabakin will be responsible for managing AMERIGROUP's financial operations and regulatory reporting.

Sherri E. Lee, the company's current chief financial officer and treasurer, has chosen to reduce her role in the company to spend more time with her family. Lee will continue to serve as treasurer, focusing on the company's treasury and investor relations functions.

For the past five years, Tabakin has served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Beverly Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:BEV), a $2.6 billion annual revenue company based in Fort Smith, Ark. While at Beverly, he also held the positions of controller and chief accounting officer. Previously, he served as an audit senior manager in Ernst & Young's Norfolk, Va. office, specializing in the health care industry. Tabakin also has experience as corporate director of internal audit with Sentara Health System.
