Federal Computer Week Selects Systems Integrator Based on Operational Intelligence Program Deployed by U.S. DoD

CHANTILLY, Va. -- AMERICAN SYSTEMS, an employee-owned, government IT solutions provider, today announced that Federal Computer Week has named the company to its Federal 100 list. The Federal 100 recognizes individuals from government, industry and academia who significantly influenced how the federal government buys, uses or manages information technology in 2006.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS was selected by the publication for its novel operational intelligence program, which helps ensure that intelligence previously unavailable to U.S. war fighters is readily accessible though the use of real-time digital imagery and mapping. This application of geospatial technology to bolster shared situational awareness capabilities has significantly strengthened execution of the armed forces' vision for net-centric warfare.

Federal 100 winners were nominated by Federal Computer Week readers and selected by an independent panel of judges. Mike Lee, along with the other Federal 100 winners, will be honored at the 18th Annual Federal 100 Awards Gala on March 26, 2007 in McLean, Va.
