AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE DAILY REPORT

 NEW YORK, Nov. 16 ~PRNewswire~ -- Prices on the American Stock Exchange closed lower today in active trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed down 2.86 to 386.83. Declines led advances 308 to 275 with 192 issues unchanged. The average price per share fell eight cents.
 Stock volume for the regular session totaled 13,621,535 shares, up from the 12,975,580 shares traded Friday. After-hours volume totaled 1,100 shares, bringing the cumulative volume for today to 13,622,635 shares.
 Topping the most active list was Davstar Industries, down 3-1~8 to 7-1~8 on 1,057,500 shares, followed by InterDigital down 3~8 to 7-1~8 on 307,500 shares. The third most active issue, Davstar Warrents were down 2-1~2 to 3-1~8 on 306,000 shares.

 Today's cumulative volume in the Emerging Company Marketplace (ECM) totaled 286,300 shares. The most actively traded stock on the ECM was AUDRE Recognition Systems, Inc., unchanged at 3-1~8 on 77,700 shares.
 Trading in options was light today with 160,288 contracts changing hands as compared with 133,343 contracts traded Friday. Puts and calls both traded lower.
 Topping the most active list in puts was the Institutional March 420 series, unchanged at 8-3~4 on 6,050 contracts, followed by the Institutional March 460 series, unchanged at 28-3~4 on 6,050 contracts. The third most active was the Institutional March 425 series unchanged at 10-1~2 on 6,050 contracts.
 Topping the most active list in calls was the Institutional March 460 series, down 1~4 to 3-1~2 on 6,050 contracts, followed by the Institutional March 425 series unchanged at 20 on 6,050 contracts. The third most active was the Institutional March 420 series, unchanged at 23 on 6,050 contracts.
