 NEW YORK, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Prices on the American Stock


Exchange closed lower today in moderate trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed down 2.77 to 373.28. Declines led advances 339 to 213 with 255 issues unchanged. The average price per share fell nine cents.
 Stock volume for the regular session totaled 13,253,990 shares, down from the 17,802,645 shares traded yesterday. After-hours volume totaled 200 shares, bringing the cumulative volume for today to 13,254,190 shares.
 There were 252 block trades, while 269 blocks were traded in the previous trading session.
 Topping the most active list was U.S. Bioscience, down 1 to 61-3/4 on 545,300 shares, followed by Medco Research, up 1/8 to 21-1/2 on 457,100 shares. The third most active issue, Amdahl was down 3/4 to 12-1/8 on 456,400 shares.

 Trading in options was light today with 153,575 contracts changing hands as compared with 128,420 contracts traded yesterday. Puts were higher as calls traded lower.
 Topping the most active list in puts was the Intergraph Dec. 40 series, down 1/8 to 4-1/2 on 12,849 contracts, followed by the American Home Products Corp. Jan. 80 series, up 2-1/8 to 6-1/4 on 4,120 contracts. The third most active was the Wells Fargo Dec. 55 series down 5/16 to 1-5/8 on 2,633 contracts.
 Topping the most active list in calls was the RJR Nabisco Dec. 7 1/2 series, down 1/8 to 2 on 2,173 contracts, followed by the Telefonos de Mexico Feb. 35 series up 1-1/8 to 9-1/2 on 2,000 contracts. The third most active was the LT-20 Dec. 30 series, up 1/4 to 3-1/4 on 1,700 contracts.
 AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE WEEKLY REPORT
 Prices on the American Stock Exchange closed lower this week in active trading. The Amex Market Value Index closed down 7.63 for the week to 373.28. The Market Value Index reached its intraday high of 381.00 on Monday and slipped to its intraday low of 370.61 on Tuesday. The average price per share fell .29 cents this week.
 Regular session stock volume for the week totaled 80,494,670 shares, up from the volume of 78,646,430 shares traded last week. After-hours trading for the week totaled 3,700 shares. There were 1,258 blocks traded during the week, compared with 852 blocks traded the previous week.
 Options trading was light this week as 852,545 contracts changed hands, compared with 1,021 601 contracts traded in last week's session.
