AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE, INC. AND APS SYSTEMS INC. ANNOUNCE A STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING ALLIANCE

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- American International Healthcare, Inc. (AIH) and APS Systems Inc. (APS) have formed a working relationship to integrate and jointly market the products of the two healthcare information system providers.
This new relationship will enable the two companies to offer a sophisticated medical practice management application combined with a powerful managed care system. The resulting product will be the industry's most comprehensive and complete. The development effort will begin immediately and "pilot sites" are now being discussed for initial implementations.
Roger Scaggs, president of APS Systems Inc., said, "This partnership is very important because no single company in our industry has the expertise necessary to respond to today's challenging requirements as well as the expected changes that tomorrow will bring." Kevin Brown, president of AIH, said, "In today's environment medical groups are taking full risk and, therefore, are encumbered with the requirements of being both the provider and the risk manager. These types of organizations need managed care administrative systems."

Both APS and AIH run exclusively on HP 3000 computers utilizing Reduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC).
The HP family of multi-user systems provides a unique combination of ease-of-operations, superior data availability and a high degree of integration. HP is a leading hardware provider for managed care organizations and physician group practices.
American International Healthcare's AMYSIS(TM) application is a comprehensive managed healthcare administrative system providing a full range of 22 applications including membership, authorization, medical management, claims, correspondence generation, capitation, member services, etc. AMYSIS has been sold to 32 managed care companies over the past three years.
APS Systems Inc. will provide its BULLET/3000 practice management application which handles medical clinic requirements ranging from patient appointment scheduling and medical records to patient and insurance company billing. The BULLET/3000 is installed in medical clinics and medical schools with physician populations ranging from 25 to 600.
American International Healthcare, Inc., based in Rockville, Md. is a member company of American International Group (NYSE: AIG).
