AMERICAN EXPRESS CENTURION BANK ANNOUNCES IT WILL MOVE ITS HEADQUARTERS TO WILMINGTON

 NEWARK, Del., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- American Express Centurion Bank today announced that it will relocate its headquarters to One Christina Centre, Wilmington, Del. when its current lease expires on Dec. 31, 1993.
 Centurion Bank is one of the largest credit card issuing banks in the U.S., with over $10 billion in assets. It is the issuer of the Optima(SM) Card and Sign & Travel(R) Accounts associated with the American Express(R) Card. It also provides lines of credit for American Express Card, Gold Card and Platinum Card(R) accounts.
 "We are delighted that Centurion Bank has chosen Wilmington for its home," said Mayor James H. Sills Jr. "It is a terrific boost for the city, and we are looking forward to a long and productive relationship."

 Centurion Bank's headquarters and certain operations will be located at One Christina Centre when it is ready for occupancy in January 1994. The bank will occupy approximately 27,000 square feet of space. Approximately 125 employees will work at the new location, which will be leased through 1998.

Mr. Petrilli is also a member of the board of directors of Wilmington 2000.
