AMERICAN DENTAL LASER APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT
TROY, Mich., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- American Dental Laser

(NASDAQ: ADLI) today named Anthony D. Fiorillo as president and chief operating officer.
Daniel S. Goldsmith, ADL's chief executive officer, announced the appointment Tuesday evening at the annual meeting of shareholders. "We needed someone in top management with Tony's experience in the healthcare equipment business. Tony has spent many years running businesses much like ours and introducing and selling products like our lasers and our new KCP. I'm delighted he has agreed to join us," Goldsmith said.
Fiorillo has held senior executive positions in the medical capital equipment industry for the last 21 years. Since 1986 he has been with Miles, Inc., serving as president of the North America Division of the Diagnostic Business Group, a $400-million operation based in Tarrytown, N.Y. His responsibilities included all marketing, sales, customer service, distribution, finance, and administration. Previously, as executive vice president of the Miles Diagnostic Division in Elkhart, Ind., he had similar responsibilities on an international level.
Fiorillo also held management positions at Instrumentation Laboratory in Lexington, Mass.; Polaroid Corp. in Cambridge, Mass.; and Corning Glass in Medfield, Mass.
He earned a master of business administration degree at Northeastern University in Boston and a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a master of arts in science at the University of Detroit.
"American Dental Laser has certainly created a great deal of excitement in its pioneering efforts with dental lasers," Fiorillo said. "I look forward to helping the company reach its future potential, realizing the many challenges -- or opportunities -- it needs to meet successfully. I am particularly happy to work with the dedicated and enthusiastic people I have met at ADL. The future looks very bright -- with a great deal of work."
American Dental Laser, headquartered in Troy, develops high- technology products for dentistry and markets them worldwide. The company's stock is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol ADLI.
