Pat Rapp posted another impressive pitching performance and Trot Nixon had three hits and scored three runs as the Boston Red Sox beat the Angels 7-4 on Sunday at Fenway Park for a three-game sweep.

Boston, which leads Oakland by one game in the AL wild-card race, won for the fifth time in six games. The Red Sox went 9-1 against the Angels this season, winning all six in Boston.

Texas 4, Toronto 2: Rafael Palmeiro set a team record with his 39th RBI of the month and the Rangers sent the Blue Jays to their ninth straight home loss.

Chicago 7, Oakland 2: Carlos Lee drove in four runs and James Baldwin won his fifth straight decision as the host White Sox.

Baltimore 11, Detroit 4: Albert Belle hit a team record-tying four doubles and the visiting Orioles broke a four-game losing streak.

Tampa Bay 6, Cleveland 4:Roberto Hernandez retired Harold Baines and Jim Thome with the bases loaded to end the game for the visiting Devil Rays.

New York 11, Seattle 5: Ricky Ledee hit a two-run, inside-the-park homer in the fifth inning and the visiting Mariners.

Minnesota 6, Kansas City 2: Corey Koskie homered and drove in four runs as the host Twins.

ANGELS vs. CLEVELAND

Time: 4:05 p.m., at Jacobs Field.

TV/Radio: Ch. 9; KLAC-AM (570), XPRS-AM (1090, Spanish).

Matchup: The Angels, losers of five straight, will start rookie right-hander Ramon Ortiz (1-1, 1.80 ERA) against Indians RHP Bartolo Colon (14-4, 4.04).
