AMEC Paragon Receives Third GPSA Safety Award Since 2004.HOUSTON -- AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, today announced that Houston-based subsidiary AMEC Paragon recently received the Gas Processors Suppliers Association's (GPSA) "Outstanding Safety Award" for its proactive safety program and excellent safety record. AMEC Paragon received the award at the 87th annual GPSA convention on March 4 in Dallas. According to the GPSA, all recipients have shown an exceptional commitment to safety practices over the last three years. AMEC Paragon was specifically honored for its Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Action Tracking System, Safe Driving Campaign, and Safety by Action Program. "We are proud to accept our third GPSA safety award in four years," said AMEC Paragon President Terrance Ivers. "These awards are a testament to our commitment to the safety of our employees, clients, and everyone else who comes in contact with AMEC Paragon." In 2007, AMEC Paragon reported zero recordable incidents for the 1,299,299 hours worked by its more than 600 employees. The company's new Safe Driving Campaign mandates defensive driving training for those expected to conduct business travel. The HSE Tracking System ensures that all safety issues are identified, tracked in a database, and properly addressed.
