 AMDEK INTRODUCES FAMILY OF MONITORS DESIGNED FOR WINDOWS USERS;
 ALSO ANNOUNCES NEW PROGRAMS FOR DEALERS AND FORTUNE 1000 COMPANIES
 SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Amdek, a leading brand of monitors for the personal computer market, today added its first full line of non-interlaced monitors that provide flicker-free viewing for users of Windows(TM)-based applications. Amdek also announced several new incentive programs for dealers and an end-user direct purchase program targeted at the Fortune 1000 marketplace.
 "An increasing number of PC users are switching to Windows-based applications, which require greater graphical capabilities," said Bob Goodman, Amdek's general manager. "Our new monitors provide non- interlaced displays, in a range of price and purchasing options, which address the demanding needs of Windows users. Users can also expect the same reliability and service Amdek has been providing to its customers for more than 13 years."
 Amdek's non-interlaced line consists of seven monitors. The non- interlaced screens on all of the monitors provide users with a flicker- free image, even with graphics-intensive Windows applications.
 The four high-end monitors in the line are all multisync, supporting resolutions of 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768. The new products include the AM/815, a 15-inch color display and the AM/814 and 814LC, which are 14-inch color displays. The three new high-end products complement the exisitng AM/817, a 17-inch color display targeted at entry-level computer aided design (CAD) applications, as well as high-end Windows environments.
 Amdek also introduced three entry-level monitors for cost-conscious users, including one monochrome and two color 14-inch displays. The entry-level products provide a cost-effective method for users to migrate to the Windows environment.
 All the color monitors have front panel controls for ease of use, and the full line of monitors is IBM PC- and PS/2-compatible. The AM/817 is also Apple Macintosh-compatible.
 Dealer Program
 Amdek has implemented several special programs for dealers, including a new closed-loop lead generation system that allows Amdek to quickly refer potential customers to local dealers. Amdek is also providing demo units directly to dealers at significantly lower prices and employees of dealers can purchase monitors for personal use at discount prices.
 Amdek Direct Program
 Amdek continues to sell through distributors such as Merisel, Tech-Data and Ingram-Micro.
