AMD (NYSE:AMD) today announced it has teamed with Steinberg to provide digital audio workstations for Steinberg Producer Group members including top recording industry producers Rory Kaplan, Greg Ladanyi, Fred Maher and Elliot Scheiner.

These AMD Athlon(TM) MP processor-based digital audio workstations allow professional and advanced hobbyist customers to perform pre- and post-production on one workstation to produce high-resolution audio for CD or DVD. By consolidating audio production efforts on one stable and powerful system, producers can realize greater efficiency in their workflow and condensed production cycles, leaving more free time for the creative process.

The AMD Athlon MP processor is compatible with AMD's stable Socket A infrastructure, and supports DDR memory technology. It is manufactured using AMD's 0.13 micron copper process technology in Fab 30 in Dresden, Germany.
