AMD Named Supplier of the Year by Nortel Networks.

AMD, (NYSE:AMD), today announced that it was recently named Supplier of the Year by Nortel Networks as a result of its technology, quality, and product availability.

"AMD Flash memory products are used in the majority of Nortel Networks' designs, and were 100 per cent defect-free throughout all of our worldwide operations for 1999," said Ken Bradley, Vice President, Supply Management, Nortel Networks. This marks the third major award win recently for AMD's Flash Memory products. Previously, Volkswagen honored AMD with its Leading Edge Award for Flash Memory devices, and Cisco named AMD the recipient of the 1999 Cisco Semiconductor Supplier of the Year award.
