AMD Launches 14-City Tour for North American System Builders; Platform Sponsors MSI, NEC-Mitsubishi and VIA Technologies Join AMD's `Fall 2001 Team AMD Tech Tour'.

:AMD) today announced that the Fall 2001 Team AMD Tech Tour, a series of complimentary seminars that educate system builders on AMD's latest technology, begins Sept. 11 and includes stops in 14 cities throughout the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

The tour showcases key technology vendors in an expanded vendor fair, and offers support and guidance on AMD products, including the award-winning AMD Athlon(TM) and AMD Duron(TM) processors, and AMD's recently introduced dual processor, the AMD Athlon MP. Events also will highlight presentations from platinum sponsors MSI MSI: see integrated circuit.
