:AMD) today announced the certifications of president and chief executive officer Hector de J. Ruiz, and chief financial officer Robert J. Rivet were filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as required by SEC Order 4-460 and by Section 906 of the recently passed Sarbanes-Oxley Act See SOX.  of 2002. SEC Order 4-460 requires that CEOs and CFOs of large, publicly traded companies attest to the accuracy of their company's 2001 Form 10-K Form 10-K

A report required by the SEC from exchange-listed companies that provides for annual disclosure of certain financial information.

 and subsequent filings with the SEC. Section 906 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires an additional certification of accuracy with respect to the company's quarterly report on Form 10-Q Form 10-Q
