AMD Announces Redemption of 6% Convertible Subordinated Notes Due 2005.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 2001

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. ("AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips. ") announced today that it will redeem all of its outstanding 6% Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2005 (the "Notes") on May 21, 2001. The notice of redemption was mailed to the holders of the Notes on May 4, 2001.
