: AMD) today announced the AMD Athlon(TM) 64 Processor High-Tech Treasure Hunt at COMDEX The former, premier computer trade show in the U.S. Although it grew into an end user event, it was originally created for dealers and distributors (it was the COMputer Dealers EXposition).  2003, a geocaching promotion where participants seek out 15 locations in the greater Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. The interactive promotion, which targets the AMD Athlon 64 processor target audience of PC enthusiasts, will begin on Sunday, Nov. 16, and last for 64 hours. Eligible participants are invited to register at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2003 at the Las Vegas Hilton The Las Vegas Hilton is a hotel, casino, and convention center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a joint venture between Colony Capital, which owns 60 percent, and New York City-based REIT Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds, which owns the remaining 40 percent.  to receive promotion information, including waypoints, clues, official rules, and a participant packet. AMD will have a limited number of GPS units for participants to use on site, so potential entrants are encouraged to bring their own GPS units.

The AMD Athlon 64 Processor High-Tech Treasure Hunt will last 64 hours and conclude on November 19, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. The grand prize winner's name will be drawn at 6:00 p.m. at the Las Vegas Hilton. Participants must be present at the drawing to win.
