AMD Affirms First Quarter Guidance.

:AMD), said today that AMD continues to expect that sales in the first quarter of 2002 will be in the range of $900 million, which would result in a small net loss for the quarter.

Rivet said he expects that sales of AMD PC processors will be in line with seasonal patterns for the first quarter. He also said that the company remains on track to return to profitability in the second quarter and to achieve profitability for the year as a whole.
