:DIT), an Omaha, NE based consumer products company, announced today that is has moved its Annual Meeting date to May 11, 2004 and that the new record date for voting at the meeting would be March 26, 2004.

Michael D. James, Chief Financial Officer of AMCON stated "We are moving the meeting back because the SEC review process with respect to our proxy statement Proxy Statement

A document containing the information that a company is required by the SEC to provide to shareholders so they can make informed decisions about matters that will be brought up at an annual stockholder meeting.
took longer than we anticipated. By the time we received SEC approval, we were left with a very short window between mailing and the original meeting date. Due to the importance of the matters to be voted upon, namely a proposed reverse stock split, we felt it was appropriate to give our shareholders an opportunity to fully review the proxy statement before sending in their proxies."
