The new plant is located in Homestead, the heart of the Florida horticultural business. From this distinct vantage point, LPS can more readily supply their accounts with custom-blended sphagnum peat moss soil mixes that the industry uses to grow potted plants, foliage and landscape plants. The specific purpose of these custom soil-blends is for use in propagation of cuttings, germination of seeds, and the growing of plants and flowers in containers.

These plants and flowers are then sold to consumers worldwide through chain stores, garden centers, etc. and are the foundation of the very financially healthy horticultural industry. The faster these nurseries can grow one batch and ship it out, they begin to grow their next batch. Turnaround is the key and Lantana Peat and Soil plans to be a significant part of their success.

The construction is expected to be completed in late March.
