AMCC to Premiere New Dual Clock Data Recovery Device for XFP Applications and Demonstrate Interoperability within 10G CEI-Compliant Backplane Solution.

WHAT: AMCC will showcase two separate demonstrations featuring
technology-proven devices within the company's solution
              portfolio.

              Demonstration I

The first demonstration will feature a complete
              framing/mapping solution enabling 2.5G and 10G Forward
Error Correction (FEC) encoded links. AMCC's
              industry-leading Rubicon GFEC/EFEC solution will
interface with several AMCC SerDes offerings and XFP
modules, enabling system jitter performance better than
80mUI(PP). The demonstration will also premiere the
              S19233, AMCC's first Dual CDR for XFP-based
applications. This proven technology will provide
customers with greater design flexibility and create a
cost-efficient opportunity for leverage existing systems
              for a variety of applications.

              Demonstration II

AMCC will also demonstrate the electrical
interoperability of its S19233 10G Dual CDR with Xilinx
FPGA 10G I/Os over different extended length backplanes
from Molex, Interconnect Technologies - Northrop Grumman
and Tyco. This interoperability is part of a larger,
CEI-compliant backplane solution enabling from 8 to 49
inches of transmission lines at 6G and 11G, which was
recently announced by the Optical Internetworking Forum
(OIF). Transmission of 10G signals to and from high-end
              backplanes into AMCC's S19233 proves the device's
ability to achieve extended-length distances and
              interface seamlessly with other solutions.
