SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) (NASDAQ:AMCC) today announced that it has joined the Intel(R) Channel Conference (ICC) to highlight its industry-leading Serial ATA (SATA) RAID solutions for Intel Product Dealers (IPDs) nationwide. AMCC will showcase its recently announced 3ware 9550SX family of SATA II RAID controllers. The 3ware 9550SX is 200% faster than the company's previous generation 9500S, delivering RAID 5 writes at over 380MB/sec and RAID 5 reads at more than 800MB/sec and supports the Serial ATA 2.5 specification and a PCI-X host interface.
