AMCARE GOES PRIVATE

 CINCINNATI, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambulatory Medical Care, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMED), an operator of urgent care offices under the tradename Doctors' Urgent Care Offices, reported that its previously announced proposal to take the company private has been approved at a special shareholders' meeting held today.
 As a result, all shares of common stock, other than those held by certain principal shareholders, have been converted into the right to receive $5.50 cash per share. The company's common stock will no longer be traded and its obligations to file reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission will terminate effective this date.
