Business Editors and Technology Writers

RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2001

Testing the SAP Interaction Center(TM), CTI and SAPphone

infrastructure proves high level performance and scalability for

customers seeking mySAP(TM) CRM Interaction Center solutions.

AMC Technology, L.L.C., an industry leader in enabling multi-channel technology for SAP interaction centers, announced today the completion of the SAP Interaction Center(TM) Performance Test. The objective of this effort was to prove the performance and scalability of the Interaction Center with the CTI and SAPphone infrastructure. All performance tests were performed using AMC telephony connector technology at AMC headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.

The tests were performed using Mercury Interactive LoadRunner A load testing tool from Mercury Interactive Corporation, Mountain View, CA (www.merc-int.com). It simulates thousands of users interacting online in order to test how well a system stands up under a heavy load.(R)/QuickTest. The system handled 500 concurrent, heavily working agents and 34,600 simulated calls per hour with an average dialog response time of 0.440 seconds. The first step of a call coming in and agent accepting the call completed in 0.225 seconds on average. The response time measured included the application server time plus the network time. The application server CPU utilization was between 36% and 48% while the load on the database server was as low as 16%.

The Software Environment consisted of mySAP(TM) Customer Relationship Management (mySAP(TM) CRM) Release 2.0B with SP10 running RDBMS: Oracle 8.0.5 on the operating system Windows NT 4.0.

The Hardware Environment consisted of five application servers, one database / SAP Central Instance server and one telephony server A computer in a network that provides telephone integration. The term may refer to the entire system or to just the plug-in boards and software. An Internet telephony server links phone lines to the Internet..:
-- 3x 4-processor Pentium III Xeon 700 MHz, 1MB SLC (Second Level Cache), 2GB
RAM

-- 1x 2-processor Pentium III 933 MHz, 256kB SLC, 2GB RAM

-- 1x 4-processor Pentium III Xeon 400 MHz, 512kB SLC, 1 GB RAM

-- The database server was a 4-processor Pentium III Xeon 550 MHz, 512kB SLC,
1GB RAM.

-- The AMC Telephony Connector was installed on a 2-processor Pentium III Xeon
400 MHZ, 512kB SLC, 1 GB RAM.

"We are pleased with the results of this Interaction Center and CTI SAPphone infrastructure performance test effort," stated Anthony X. Uliano, CTO and president of AMC Technology. "These results provide SAP customers with proven statistics that the mySAP CRM Interaction Center, combined with AMC telephony connector technology is simply the best integrated CRM interaction center solution available today.
