On Mother's Day, May 13, AMERICAN MOVIE CLASSICS offers an ode to motherhood for the entire family with the "Moms in the Movies" Festival. Irene Dunne in I REMEMBER MAMA and MY FAVORITE WIFE My Favorite Wife (released in the U.K. as My Favourite Wife) is a 1940 screwball comedy that tells the story of a woman returning home to her husband and children after being shipwrecked on a tropical island for seven years. , Myrna Loy in BELLES ON THEIR TOES, and Doris Day in MOVE OVER, DARLING Move Over, Darling is a 1963 remake of the 1940 screwball comedy My Favorite Wife. The remake stars Doris Day, James Garner, and Polly Bergen. Plot  each render a unique portrait of the sacrifices, joy and humor in raising children.

AMC (Advanced Mezzanine Card) See AdvancedTCA.  kicks off the "Moms in the Movies" Festival at 6:30 AM (ET) with the touching drama I REMEMBER MAMA (1948). Dunne is the gentle, budget-conscious matriarch of the Hansens, a Norwegian immigrant family in turn-of-the-century San Francisco. Adapted from the play by John Van Druten, which was based on Mama's Bank Account, the memoirs of Kathryn Forbes, the film garnered five Academy Award(R) nominations, including Dunne for Best Actress, Oskar Homolka for Best Supporting Actor, and Barbara Bel Geddes Barbara Bel Geddes (October 31, 1922, in New York City – August 8, 2005, in Northeast Harbor, Maine) was an Oscar-nominated American actress, best known for her role on the hit CBS drama, Dallas, as matriarch Eleanor "Miss Ellie" Ewing. , and Ellen Corby for Best Supporting Actress.

Later, at 10:00 AM (ET), Myrna Loy is a widowed mom with a brood of 12 in BELLES ON THEIR TOES (1952). Though it takes place in the early 1900s, this film offers a distinctly feminist perspective on motherhood, with Loy keeping her engineering career and her kids together following the death of her husband. Jeanne Crain and Hoagy Carmichael co-star.

AMC's "Moms in the Movies" Festival takes a decidedly comic turn next, at 11:35 AM (ET), with Irene Dunne and Cary Grant in MY FAVORITE WIFE (1940), the hilarious story of a major marital mix-up. After she's presumed dead for seven years, Dunne is finally rescued from a desert island, reuniting with her family just as husband Grant has married Gail Patrick. Grant's honeymoon gets a bit crowded as he tries to choose between the mother of his children and his new bride. AMC concludes its "Moms in the Movies" Festival at 1:15 PM (ET) with Doris Day in MOVE OVER, DARLING (1963), the amusing remake of MY FAVORITE WIFE. On the same day that husband James Garner finally has his long-lost wife declared legally deceased, Day returns, only to find her spouse newly married to Polly Bergen. Day tries to derail de·rail
