AMC Showcases Six Quintessential Westerns in the "Back in the Saddle" Festival On Saturday, February 9.

AMC pays homage to the American West when it presents the "Back in the Saddle" festival on Saturday, February 9, beginning at 10:30 AM.

The line-up showcases six quintessential Westerns, including LAST TRAIN FROM GUN HILL, with Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn; John Ford's MY DARLING CLEMENTINE, starring Henry Fonda and Victor Mature; and the Oscar(R)-winning BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID, with Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

AMC's "Back in the Saddle" festival begins at 10:30 AM (ET) with LAST TRAIN FROM GUN HILL (1959). Town marshal Kirk Douglas seeks friend Anthony Quinn's help in finding the man who murdered his wife. But when the killer turns out to be Quinn's son, Earl Holliman, the two friends become rivals in an inevitable standoff. Next, at 12:15 PM (ET), lawman Jim Brown pursues gunrunner Burt Reynolds into Mexico, where he's taking weapons for an Indian rebellion in 100 RIFLES (1969). Raquel Welch co-stars as the rebellion leader.

In MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946), airing at 2:15 PM (ET), Henry Fonda stars as Wyatt Earp and Victor Mature as Doc Holiday in director John Ford's retelling of the shootout at the O.K. Corral. Following, at 4:15 PM (ET), Willie Nelson is a legendary outlaw and Gary Busey is a naive farm boy who becomes his protege in BARBAROSA (1982).

Paul Newman and Robert Redford co-star in the Academy Award(R)-winning George Roy Hill film BUTCH CASSIDY & THE SUNDANCE KID (1969), airing at 6:00 PM (ET). The notorious American outlaws are both comic and tragic as they try to outwit a relentless posse hired to kill them. Nominated for seven Oscars(R), including Best Picture, the film won four, including Best Writing and Best Cinematography. The festival concludes at 8:00 PM with THE BRAVADOS (1958). Gregory Peck hunts down his wife's murderers and finds them about to be hung for another crime. They escape before their execution but Peck goes to extremes to recapture them. Joan Collins co-stars.
