AMC Institute Announces Online Survey to Identify Top Challenges Facing Association and Nonprofit Leaders.

Volunteer Board Leaders and Executives of Nonprofit Organizations Can Complete Survey at www.AMCInstitute.org

PHILADELPHIA -- AMC Institute, the trade association that represents the association management company (AMC) industry, announced today the launch of an online survey to identify issues and challenges facing volunteer board leaders and executives of nonprofit organizations. The brief survey can be accessed on the AMC Institute homepage at www.AMCInstitute.org.

"Our AMC professionals work with volunteer leaders and association executives day in and day out. As an industry that manages associations and nonprofit organizations, we saw a need to gather their feedback on pressing issues and management challenges they confront day-to-day," said Sue Pine, Executive Vice President of AMC Institute.

AMC Institute has created two separate surveys - one for volunteer leaders, one for executives of nonprofits. The volunteer leader survey inquires about the amount of time spent volunteering, and whether volunteers anticipate spending more or less time on the board. It also asks volunteer leaders to name the top three issues facing their nonprofit organization. The executives survey also poses a question about hot topic issues, and whether executives have worked with an outside consultant.

"The volunteer leader survey is designed to gauge the current level of volunteer commitment, and how this might shift in the coming year," Pine said. "The survey for executives, meanwhile, targets specific resources executives tap to best run their nonprofit operations. We look forward to sharing our findings within the industry."
