"Nutrition 21 will continue to vigorously defend its intellectual property portfolio. This $1 million settlement, along with the monies recovered in other settlements, will be reinvested in an acceleration of our clinical development programs, brand building for Chromax(R) chromium picolinate, and the expansion of our patent enforcement efforts. These ongoing business initiatives will strengthen the significant competitive advantages enjoyed by our customers," continued Ms. Montgomery.
