THE British Grand Prix roars into action at Silverstone tomorrow and to celebrate the Daily Mirror has a fantastic offer for race fans - a unique special-edition print by one of our award-winning photographers.

Arthur Sidey, now 81, risked his life to take this image of racing legend Graham Hill - father of former F1 world champion Damon - crashing in filthy weather at the 1964 Daily Mirror Trophy.

It was lap six when race-leader Graham aquaplaned into an earth bank at more than 100mph, right in front of Arthur. He says: "He came roaring around the bend but instead of straightening up he kept on coming until he was on top of me.

"I kept taking photographs and it wasn't 'til I got back to the office that I realised what I'd got."

Arthur sent a copy of the Mirror to Graham at the time and got a note back from the world champ saying: "We were both lucky."

Now Arthur's famous black-and-white image has been restored with the original colours of Hill's car.
