AMAZING DAY FOR SIR NICK.


GOLF legend Sir Nick Faldo Nicholas "Nick" Alexander Faldo MBE (born 18 July 1957) is an English golfer on the European Tour, and one of Europe's most successful players of all time. Over his career, he has won three Open Championship titles and three US Masters titles. He was ranked the World No.  described being knighted by the Queen as an "unbelievable experience."

"When I found out, my first thought was of riding my bike through the woods to the golf course when I was just starting out. I played my first round on my 14th birthday."

Sir Nick won six majors, including three Opens. He said: "The Queen said 'You've been in the game a long time'. I said 'Yes ma'am, for 30 years'."

Examining his medal, Sir Nick added: "That's pretty special - look at that fella."

Asked which of his majors he was most proud of, he replied: "Majors are like children, it's impossible to pick. But the first one is special because you finally break through."
