AM International Inc. and IDAB International Inc. announce new strategic alliance.


ROSEMONT, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1995--AM International Inc. (ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) A relational DBMS from Sybase that runs on Windows NT/2000, Linux and a variety of Unix platforms. ASE is a comprehensive and robust data management product with a long history dating back to the late 1980s. :AM) and IDAB WAMAC WAMAC Washington Area Military Athletic Conference  AB, a Swedish company, Wednesday announced an agreement in principle to form a strategic alliance providing a worldwide joint marketing arrangement for AM's Sheridan Systems division and IDAB WAMAC's products and services.

AM International's Chairman, Jerry Brady Jerry Michael Brady (born March 20, 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho) is an Idaho politician and owns a newspaper that is distributed in southeast Idaho. Brady ran twice for Governor of Idaho and despite owning and running one of the largest newspapers in Idaho he was defeated both , stated: "We are pleased to reach this agreement in principle with the WAMAC organization, to further the development and market penetration Noun 1. market penetration - the extent to which a product is recognized and bought by customers in a particular market

 of both parties' world-class technology. This arrangement would provide Sheridan Systems and WAMAC the opportunity to leverage each other's technological capabilities in all regions in the world.

AM International Inc. and IDAB International Inc. Wednesday also announced that AM International has agreed in principle to purchase certain assets related to IDAB's stacker, wrapper and other mailroom equipment manufacturing operations in Hialeah, Fla. Consummation of the marketing and asset purchase arrangements are subject to the parties' agreement on binding documentation.

Sheridan Systems President, Richard J. Bonnie, applauded this initiative in the global positioning of Sheridan Systems. Bonnie stated, "Sheridan Systems is committed to market share growth through leading-edge technology, both in its newspaper and bindery A NetWare file used for security and accounting in the early NetWare 2.x and 3.x versions. The bindery pertained only to the server it resided in and contained the names and passwords of users authorized to log in to that server.  equipment and systems businesses.

"The strategic alliance with WAMAC and the acquisition of the mailroom equipment business of IDAB permit Sheridan Systems to provide state-of-the-art product systems and services to our newspaper customers throughout the world."
