AM Communications, Inc.'s Systems Integration Group (OTC:AMCM) announced today the selection of their MapVault(TM) module as a finalist for the Communications Technology Reader's Choice Awards competition in the Network Diagnosis category. Nomination criteria included technological innovation, feature set, interoperability and adherence to recognized industry standards and contribution to broadband telecommunications' growth and advancement.

SCTE members will vote for the winners in four different categories during the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo being held May 9-11, 2001. Winning products will be announced in July and featured in an article in the August issue of Communications Technology. MapVault will also be featured during the show in AM's booth, No. 1084.

MapVault is the central module of the MapBOSS(TM) web-based map analysis system that allows secure, multi-location, remote access to HFC design map information across enterprise or worldwide data networks. MapBOSS builds and stores a topology database that contains information that is essential to advanced network management functions such as root cause analysis and event correlation.
