M3325 provides superior image quality, leading-edge A/V performance and deemed as the most advanced solution for the next generation DVD Player applications. It has advanced the MPEG-2 core with integrated Micro Controller Unit (MCU), Progressive Scan Processor, TV encoder, Audio ADC and professional Karaoke to achieve the highest-level digital experience. M3325 DVD A/V decoder supports MPEG-2's Main Profile at Main Level (MP@ML) and JPEG decoding, for not only the supporting for DVD/VCD movie disc playback, but also the supporting for browsing Digital Photo like Picture CD, and enabling fast-forward, slow motion and rewind features for these playbacks. M3325's audio algorithms decode MPEG-1 layers 1 and 2, MP3, MPEG-2 multi-channel, Dolby ProLogic II(TM), Dolby Digital(TM), Digital Theater System (DTS(TM)), High Definition CD (HDCD) and Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Media Audio(TM) (WMA). In addition to hosting a set of professional Karaoke functions, the audio post-processing of M3325 has the power to propel cinema sound effects and Virtual Surround for down mixed multi-channel source through a fixed 2-channel speaker environment.

Besides the Audio & Video output path, M3325 supports both analog Audio input port and digital audio input port, so that M3325 can enable to receive any kind of external audio input & fully utilize the audio post-processing power of M3325. As for video interface, M3325 provides the digital video input port for the system application.

While the requirements of DVD A/V decoder are being fulfilled by M3325, the M3327 is an ideal alternative to a high-end multimedia capabilities, which incorporates MLP decode, Copy Protection for Pre-recorded Media (CPPM) encryption and audio watermark detection.
