ALTA A/S, the market leading vendor of Manufacturing Event Management solutions, has announced the appointment of John Frederiksen to the position of CEO. Frederiksen will draw on his extensive experience with IBM, Compaq (now HP) and Navision A/S. At Navision A/S he, among other positions, served as president of Navision US, Inc. and grew the company in a difficult market environment. In 2002, Microsoft acquired Navision A/S--its largest acquisition ever--and folded it into Microsoft Business Solutions.
