Notes: This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight were $55.4 million for the second quarter of fiscal 1997, compared with $55.0 million for the second quarter of fiscal 1996. Net income for the first six months of fiscal 1997 increased 46% to $6.4 million, $0.50 per share, compared with income of $4.4 million, $0.36 per share, for the six months ended March 31, 1996. Revenue for the six months ended March 31, 1997, was $111.8 million, compared with $112.2 million for the year-ago period. The $0.4 million increase in revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 1997, compared with the second quarter of fiscal 1996 was primarily due to higher sales to ALR's OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it.
