ALR announces new value priced 75-MHz Pentium processor desktops for under $1,000.

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Advanced Logic Research, Inc. (NASDAQ:AALR) Monday established a new price/performance benchmark for Pentium processor-based desktop systems. The new ALR OPTIMA SL comes in a slimline desktop chassis and includes a 75- or 90-MHz Pentium processor with prices starting at $995 and $1145, respectively.

The ALR OPTIMA SL line is especially suitable for business users looking for a cost effective way to increase worker productivity. The system comes with a 75- or 90-MHz Pentium processor, integrated PCI video and disk controller and a variety of options to meet customers' exact system needs.

Additionally, ALR offers base models (Model 1) that provide a minimum configuration for resellers and VARs who prefer to build-up to their customers' requirements. For customers requiring a total solution, bundled models (Models 540B and 850B) include popular options such as hard drives and software.

All ALR systems come standard with one of the industry's most comprehensive warranty package, the ALR 5/36 warranty. This includes five years for system component parts and thirty-six months for peripheral parts and associated labor. On-site warranty is free for the first year with an additional two years option.
