Making our services available via Europe Online is an important part of ALPNET's plan to make easy to use, high quality translation services available to a broad base of clients. ALPNET believes the number of knowledge workers, those using desktop computer systems connected to networks, will increase dramatically, and these users will have an increasing need to produce or utilize materials in multiple languages. By making ALPNET services available directly on their workstation via Europe Online, we eliminate the wasted time and effort needed in getting materials translated in the traditional, logistically manual, way."

Mr. Van der Meer continued by saying "When Europe Online goes live, users throughout Europe will be able to use the network through local phone access points all across the major cities in Europe. ALPNET will have a easy to use visual interface whereby clients can submit jobs directly to ALPNET without having to look up phone numbers, leave messages, get quotations, and worry about sending and receiving materials. We believe this ease of use will be an exciting step forward for both existing, and new ALPNET clients."

Mrs. Cassandra Matthews, Content Acquisition Director for Europe Online said "One of the fundamentals in Europe Online's strategic implementation plans is the availability of broad based on-line services in multiple languages. An important part of our overall plan is having a quality provider of language translation services available on Europe Online at the initial roll out in early 1996.
