In making the announcement, Thomas F. Our TSS See ITU.  translation technology is known as the `grandfather' of translation technology designed to assist human translators. Many other translation systems are patterned after the TSS system. ALPNET has worked closely with translators to enhance, optimize and extend its TSS system to allow translators to achieve the highest in quality and efficiency. In addition, we recently announced the Windows version of TSS, designed to further enhance the ease of use of the TSS system."

Seal continued by stating, "With the opening of ALPNET-Ypres, we have created a unique facility where translators can work together in a networked computer system, to take the use of TSS to an additional level in an optimal setting. Our facility in Ypres will effectively be a super high-tech translation factory, where we have the best technology, a carefully selected group of translators, and a controlled working environment. Furthermore, we will use this office only on long-term, strategic clients, where a guaranteed flow of work will allow us to bring all of these factors together to produce the highest in quality, on an aggressive schedule, with improved margins. The first clients to use this advanced facility will be NETG NETG National Education Training Group , the U.S.-based training and education company, and Dun & Bradstreet Software, the financial software publisher. In addition, we are talking with other large clients and prospective clients about producing their projects in this facility. We will be making further announcements concerning additional clients using this facility before the end of the year."

Seal concluded by saying, "Ypres has been selected as the site for the `Flanders Language Valley' project, which is intended to become the `Silicon Valley' of the language industry. The geographical proximity gives good access to French, German, Dutch, and English translators as well as a good communication and transportation infrastructure. ALPNET believes that the area around Ypres will rapidly become the premier site in Europe for the language industry, and ALPNET intends to be on the ground floor of this development."
