:ALO) today announced that its U.S. Pharmaceuticals Division, which manufactures and markets specialty generic pharmaceuticals, has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market Albuterol Sulfate albuterol sulfate (salbutamol sulfate)

Pharmacologic class: Sympathomimetic (beta2-adrenergic agonist)

 Syrup, 2 mg (base)/5 mL.

Albuterol Sulfate Syrup is the generic equivalent of the prescription branded product Ventolin Syrup. Ventolin Syrup and the equivalent branded albuterol albuterol /al·bu·ter·ol/ (al-bu´ter-ol) a ß agonist used as the base or sulfate salt as a bronchodilator.
