ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES GROUP, INC. ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION.


Inc. ("Alpha" or the "Company" - NASDAQ-ATGI) announced today that Wakefield Wakefield, estate, United States
Wakefield, family estate of George Washington, on the Potomac River, E Va.; part of the

George Washington Birthplace National Monument (see National Parks and Monuments, table).
 Engineering, Inc. ("Wakefield"), its wholly-owned subsidiary, purchased all of the assets and business and assumed certain liabilities of Specialty Extrusion, LTD LTD 1 Laron-type dwarfism 2 Leukotriene D 3 Long-term depression, see there 4. Long-term disability . ("Specialty") in Fullerton, Calif.

Specialty is a manufacturer of aluminum extrusions and related products and services. The purchase price was $2,000,000 in cash subject to certain post-closing adjustments. Specialty will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wakefield.

The acquisition of Specialty represents a vertical integration which will enable Wakefield to enter into new markets and expand its presence in existing markets. For calendar year 1994, Specialty had revenues of approximately $5.6 million and pretax income pretax income
