 ALPHA SOLARCO REPORTS SECOND-QUARTER EARNINGS
 CINCINNATI, Ohio, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpha Solarco Inc.


(NASDAQ: ASCO) today announced a consolidated net income for the quarter ended Nov. 30, 1991, which was $620,835 (one cent per share) on revenues of $987,280 compared with net loss of $151,462 on revenues of $69,016 during the same 1990 quarter.
 For the first six months of fiscal 1991, Alpha Solarco reported a consolidated net income of $1,130,995 (two cents per share) on revenues of $1,706,799 compared with a net loss of $352,414 on revenues of $69,485 for the first six months of fiscal 1990.
 The company's second quarter income is mainly from the second phase of the joint venture contract signed in February 1991 with the Qinhuangdao Electronics Co. of China. The first and second phases of the contract included a one-time technology transfer plus the initital sale of tooling.
 On Nov. 30, 1991, the company had 47,064,317 shares of common stock issued and outstanding.
