ALONG THE WATER MORE OF BIKE TRAIL NOW OPEN.

VALENCIA - Another leg of Santa Clarita's planned 30-mile bike-trail network is complete, opening a path along a stretch of San Francisquito Creek The San Francisquito Creek is a creek that flows into San Francisco Bay in California, United States of America. Its headwaters are in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Menlo Park, around 667m (2000 feet) above the Bay. .

A milelong stretch of the creek-side trail from Newhall Ranch Road to Decoro Drive is open, and the remaining 2.5 miles will be complete in mid-October, said Tom Reilly Tom Reilly may refer to:

As part of a development agreement, The Newhall Land and Farming Company The Newhall Land and Farming Company is a land management company based in Valencia, California, United States. The company is responsible for the master community planning of Valencia, as well as the management of farm land elsewhere in the state.  is financing the trail that links to the Santa Clara River trail The Santa Clara River Trail is a paved bicycle and walking path located in the city of Santa Clarita, California. The path is currently approximately 8 miles in length and generally runs in an east-west direction and closely follows the path of the Santa Clara River and Soledad , part of 20 miles of paths for bicyclists and pedestrians. An additional 10 miles of trails is planned, Reilly said. The city owns and maintains the trails.

The southern end of the trail starts at the planned Heritage Park at Newhall Ranch Road and McBean Parkway.
