ALMOST READY NEW ALBERTSONS SET TO OPEN WEDNESDAY.

PALMDALE - Albertsons is scheduled to open a new supermarket Wednesday in west Palmdale.

The store, which the chain named the Quartz Hill Albertsons, is at 50th Street West and Avenue N.

The store will include a drive-through Sav-On pharmacy; barbecue barbecue [West Indian or South American], in the United States, traditionally an open-air gathering, political or social, in which meats are roasted whole over a pit of embers and food and drink are liberally enjoyed. , butcher and floral flo·ral

Store hours will be 6 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Saturday. The pharmacy will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

In honor of the store's opening, the chain will make a $1,000 donation to nearby Quartz Hill Elementary School elementary school: see school. .

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. Doors will open to customers at 8 a.m.
