Orchid society to hold

show at Oakway Center

The Willamette Orchid Society will hold its annual orchid show and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at in the Oakway Center at the intersection of Oakway and Coburg roads. Admission is free.

The event will feature displays by Oregon orchid societies and professional growers, the sale of plants and growing materials and free advice from society members. For more information, call Marcia Romick at 683-2500 or e-mail jerrymarcia@worldnet .att.net.

for hardy plant weekend

Early registration is recommended for the Willamette Valley The Willamette Valley (pronounced [wɪˈlæ.mɪt], with the accent on the second syllable) is the region in northwest Oregon in the United States that surrounds the Willamette River as it proceeds northward from its  Hardy Plant Group's 19th annual Hardy Plant Study Weekend to be held June 18-20 at the Valley River Inn. The event will feature six speakers from the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and England and tours of 18 gardens.

The speakers are Timothy Walker of England (`Color in Verb 1. color in - add color to; "The child colored the drawings"; "Fall colored the trees"; "colorize black and white film"

The fee for the three-day weekend is $100. Registration material can be obtained at www.thehardyplantgroup.org or by calling 342-6696.
