ALM acquires assets of conference/seminar producer.

), a media company that focuses on the legal and business communities, has acquired the assets of the Strategic Research Institute (SRI; New York), a privately held conference and seminar producer. No terms of the deal were given.

Established in 1993, SRI currently produces more than 130 conference events annually, targeted primarily at C-level executives and professionals in sectors that include finance and investment, aerospace and defense, life sciences, multicultural mul·ti·cul·tur·al

SRI will continue to operate from its present locations in New York and Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  and will become a part of ALM's conference operations, including ALM events for legal professionals and managers, Insight Information business conferences in Canada, and the RealShare conference series produced by ALM's Real Estate Media division.
